You can major in French or Spanish; pick up a minor in either of those languages or Chinese, German, Italian, or Russian; or become proficient in Arabic, Haitian Creole, Japanese, Korean, or Portuguese. With fluency in another language鈥攁nd the cultural connections that are inextricably linked to it鈥攜ou will not only travel the world with more confidence, but you’ll also become a very desirable candidate for careers in almost any position imaginable, from education to law, international relations to business, and government to the arts, to name just a few.
