We are thrilled to extend complimentary tickets to our upcoming performance of Chrysolation. Please complete this no later than Tuesday, April 14.

Daniel “Chrybaby Cozie” Holloway is a Harlem-born pioneer of the Litefeet movement—a high-energy freestyle dance that emerged in the early 2000s as part of the continuum of hip-hop culture. Chrysolation, performed by Chrybaby Cozy and the renowned Bomb Squad, brings the origins & evolution of this vibrant NYC street dance tradition to the stage.

Chrysolation is an amalgamation of a 35-year-old developed freestyle approach. The root of this approach is hip-hop by way of Litefeet/Gettin Lite, implementing the utilization of New Jack Swing, Vernacular Jazz, Lindy Hop, House, and Top Rock (Breaking).

The School of American Ballet−the official school of New York City Ballet−is proud to present FREE public performances at neighborhood venues in New York City for family audiences each year.

These hour-long demonstrations are led by faculty member Katrina Killian and feature advanced students. Guests are offered a sneak-peek inside SAB’s classroom to witness how students train to become professional dancers, and they have the opportunity to try a few steps right from their seats before seeing excerpts from famous ballets including The Nutcracker and Swan Lake–performed by our students in costume to live music.

Each demonstration concludes with an audience Q&A with our students. Recommended for young children and families, The Beauty of Ballet is a wonderful introduction to the art of ballet.

Don’t miss this enchanting introduction to the art of ballet.

Appropriate for ages 4 and up!
