A minor in foods and nutrition provides a foundation in nutrition science and food studies with an emphasis on health promotion and disease prevention. You’ll learn about health systems, health and nutrition policy and program development, and the social and natural components of health and disease.

Minor Requirements (15–18 Credits)
The foods and nutrition minor provides students with foundation knowledge in nutrition science and food studies emphasizing health promotion and disease prevention. Career opportunities that are complemented by a foods and nutrition minor include education, exercise science, anthropology, public health, health sciences, psychology, and communications.
