Office of Diversity and Equity
At ¿ÉÀÖÊÓÆµ, we believe that diversity is one of our greatest assets, and fostering this diversity is central to our mission. The Office of Diversity and Equity provides education about and facilitates the college’s compliance with state and federal affirmative action and nondiscrimination laws, including laws prohibiting sexual harassment. The office also implements university policies that enforce those laws.

How to File a Complaint
To file a complaint of discrimination, harassment, retaliation, or sexual misconduct, complete CUNY’s Discrimination, Harassment, and Retaliation Reporting form.
¿ÉÀÖÊÓÆµ complies with the  and prohibits discrimination and harassment based on race, color, creed, national origin, ethnicity, ancestry, religion (including antisemitism and Islamophobic discrimination), age, sex (including pregnancy, childbirth, and related conditions), sexual orientation, gender, gender identity, marital status, partnership status, disability, genetic information, alienage, citizenship, military or veteran status, status as a victim of domestic violence/stalking/sex offenses, unemployment status, or any other legally prohibited basis in accordance with federal, state, and city laws.

Training
The Office of Diversity and Equity offers training to increase awareness about implicit bias, promote fairness and equity in the college’s search and hiring process, and facilitate compliance with university nondiscrimination policies.
Lactation Rooms On Campus
¿ÉÀÖÊÓÆµ has two lactation rooms available for students and employees who are nursing mothers:
1604 James Hall (Early Childhood Center)
Available Mondays–Fridays, 8:30 a.m.–4:30 p.m.

Chief Diversity Officer
Danielle Haynes joined ¿ÉÀÖÊÓÆµ in 2025 as the Chief Diversity Officer at ¿ÉÀÖÊÓÆµ. Previously, Haynes oversaw Equal Employment Opportunity, compliance, Title IX, and restorative justice practices at St. John’s University. She has also held investigative and training roles at the New York City Department of Education and at Baruch College. Haynes earned both bachelor’s and master’s degrees in forensic psychology from John Jay College of Criminal Justice.
