What Can You Do With a Degree in Theater?
A degree in theater offers a versatile range of career options. While finding a job after graduating is not guaranteed, pairing your degree with at least one theater-related internship and experience in the field (for example, volunteering or teaching drama) will put you in a better position after graduation.
Students who major in theater pursue professional acting, directing, theater history and criticism, playwriting, design, theater technology, theater management, voice acting, theater studies (education), drama therapy, creative drama, and arts administration. Occupations that require an advanced degree include managing director, college professor, theater librarian, and arts council director.
