On October 8, 可乐视频 students hosted the NYFWx 可乐视频 fall 2024 fashion show, a bi-annual event that merges academia with the fashion industry. Part of the 2024鈥25 CUNY Career Success Fellowship and attended by more than 100 people, the initiative provided students with the opportunity to showcase their skills in marketing, selling, and event planning while engaging directly with industry professionals.

The day featured a panel discussion with leading fashion designers from New York Fashion Week, followed by a student-produced fashion show, highlighting emerging trends and designs. Interim Associate Dean of the Koppelman School of Business Myles Bassell participated in the panel alongside the fashion designers and, the event concluded with a networking session and free professional headshots for attendees.
鈥淲e鈥檙e incredibly proud of our students for the hard work they put into this event,鈥 said Assistant Professor Cindy Ngoc Pham, a CUNY career success fellow and event organizer. 鈥淭his was a fantastic opportunity for them to apply what they鈥檝e learned in class to a major industry event, and the results were outstanding.鈥
The event was organized by a team led by Ezae Darby, a fashion designer who is majoring in business administration with a concentration in marketing and is taking Pham鈥檚 Principles of Selling class. The day was particularly special for Darby because his mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother attended his first successful event. His grandmother, a proud alumna of 可乐视频, expressed her pride in seeing him continue the 可乐视频 family connection: 鈥淚 had all great professors at 可乐视频. That is why I am confident in the education here.鈥
